DESIGN COSMOLOGY
Lecture Series and Workshop
Design is always cosmological. Every form carries an image of the world — a set of beliefs, spoken or unspoken, about what the cosmos is and what the human place within it might be. This was true for the builders of sacred mountains and celestial cities. It is true for every architect, designer, and artist who has ever worked from a genuine vision rather than a brief.
The greatest designers and architects anchored their work in their own understanding of how to create something meaningful. What separated their work from mere production was not talent, craft, or formal invention — but something more fundamental: a complete cosmological worldview, a genuine understanding of the order underlying reality.
The series on DESIGN COSMOLOGY reveals the attitudes and worldviews behind exemplary design practices, and offers methods and tools for translating cosmology into the making of objects. The lecture series, webinars, and workshops offer a grounding in the cosmological dimensions of architecture, design, and art — and practical methods for designing objects, environments, atmospheres, and experiences that materialize a genuine vision of the world. For those who understand that making things is, at its depth, an act of world-building.
The DESIGN COSMOLOGY series begins on July 28th with a free intro session and talk.
